It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Word. We magnify you, the true Theotokos. PS: preluata din The Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom (A New Translation by Members of the Faculty of Hellenic College/ Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology) |
Rugaciunea lui Iisus/ The Jesus Prayer
O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. |
from the evil ONE.......de CEL viclean

Cum ar fi Tatal nostru tradus in engleza?

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. |
Tatal nostru/ Our Father

Thy
nu cred ca e cineva pe-aici specialist in engleza veche. Thy nu se foloseste deloc in ziua de azi decat in rugaciunea Tatal nostru.
XII, care exprima genitivul de la thou (mai tarziu devenit you) fiind folosit in special in limbajul ecleziastic si literar, si uneori familiar. |

O foarte frumoasa rugaciune in engleza veche
"Bless this day which Thou hast given me, Thy unworthy servant, and with the power of Thy blessing, permit me at all times, and in every place, with pure heart, to speak and act unto Thy glory, with patience, wise humility and love, in the spirit of peace, meekness, magnanimity and wisdom, and to regard Thee before my own needs. Make known to me, O Lord, the way of Thy will, according to Thy boundless goodness, and grant me to walk blamelessly before Thy face."

Help us, for we are helpless. Feed us, for we are strangers and pilgrims. Thou knowest our offences; forgive them, and resolve them as Thou dost will. Grant me to submit completely to Thy holy will. At every hour of this day guide and support me in all things. Whatsoever news may reach me in the course of this day, teach me to accept it with calmness and the conviction that all is subject to Thy holy will. In all my words and actions direct my thoughts and feelings. In all unexpected occurances, do not let me forget that all is sent down by Thee. Teach me to deal straightforwardly and wisely with every member of my family, neither embarassing nor saddening anyone. O Lord, grant me strength to endure the fatigue of the coming day and all the events that take place during it. Direct my will and teach me to pray, to believe, to hope, to be patient, to forgive and to love. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for your reward is great in heaven.
