Vaaai, nici macar Darwin nu credea in teoriile lui! :)))))))) Eu una nu pricep cum e posibil sa crezi si in Dumnezeu, si in maimuta... e un paradox. Nu poti spune ca era credincios pentru ca asa erau toti din jurul lui,toti din jurul tau sunt crestini, dar tu esti ateu... sau o fi vreun spirit de fronda, ca la darwin. Nu ma intereseaza ce era in sufletil omului Darwin, dar asta demonstreaza cat de slabe erau teoriile lui! Din moment ce era credincios (lucru pe care il si afirma), inseamna ca nu era convins din tot sufletul in teoria lui. Asta mi se pare mare lucru, tocmai pentru ca omul nu e iremediabil pierdut! Aviz amatorilor de maimute!

Biserica Catolica incearca sa concilieze evolutionismul cu credinta, deci se poate.
Evolutionismul nu exclude un Dzeu in sensul de creator al universului si eventual de scinteie a vietii. Teoria lui se baza pe niste fapte care exista si nu puteau fi ignorate indiferent de credintele sale.
Ai sa iti dai seama ca Darwin credea mai mult in teoria sa si in stiinta in general decit in Dzeu:
To suppose that the eye [...] could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree.
When it was first said that the sun stood still and the world turned round, the common sense of mankind declared the doctrine false; but the old saying of Vox populi, vox Dei, as every philosopher knows, cannot be trusted in science. Reason tells me, that if numerous gradations from a simple and imperfect eye to one complex and perfect can be shown to exist, each grade being useful to its possessor, as is certainly the case; if further, the eye ever varies and the variations be inherited, as is likewise certainly the case and if such variations should be useful to any animal under changing conditions of life, then the difficulty of believing that a perfect and complex eye could be formed by natural selection, though insuperable by our imagination, should not be considered as subversive of the theory.
