Aici e răspunsul pe care l-am primit de la părintele meu duhovnic (un american de origine română) - când l-am întrebat de pomelnicul la Sf. Maslu și i-am dat să citească link-ul la articolul păr. Petru Pruteanu :

He's right, of course, but we are not forbidden to offer prayers for anyone at any time, even during an unction service. It gets strange with people bringing in flour and oil of their own, or even stranger, items of other people's clothing. It's prevalent among Romanians and some Serbs. The flour and oil that they bring in is NOT consecrated oil of healing, only that which is blessed and used. And consecrated oil should not be given out to take home… just like we would never give out holy Communion to take home.

Strictly speaking, serving a general unction service for people who are not in a state of serious illness is also a innovation -- but not necessarily a bad one. Doing it monthly or during holy week is a new idea…
