It gets strange with people bringing in flour and oil of their own, or even stranger, items of other people's clothing. It's prevalent among Romanians and some Serbs. The flour and oil that they bring in is NOT consecrated oil of healing, only that which is blessed and used. And consecrated oil should not be given out to take home… just like we would never give out holy Communion to take home.

Este ciudat ca oamenii vin cu faina si cu uleiul lor, si chiar mai ciudat ca aduc obiecte de vestimentatie. Acest lucru se obisnuieste in special la români si sârbi. Faina si uleiul adus, nu este ulei sfintit folosit pentru vindecari, ci doar cel binecuvantat. Iar uleiul sfintit nu ar trebui dat spre a fi dus acasa... asa cum nu dam niciodata Sf. Impartasanie ca sa fie dusa acasa.
