Toate astea se invata si fara ajutorul bisericii, poate chiar mai eficient.
Cu o singura exceptie.
Poti invata ce este credinta, dar nu in vreo zeitate, ci in puterea ta de a merge mai departe.

Puterea ta de a merge mai departe, sau mai sus, sau oriunde, este din pacate limitata, in lipsa credintei in Dumnezeu. G.K.Chesterton, in cartea sa "Ortodoxia" face o critica foarte pertinenta si foarte sugestiva a ceea ce el numeste "omul care crede in sine insusi". O sa citez aici o parte din acest capitol, scuze, e in engleza; cartea se poate citi gratuit pe internet:
