Si ca o nota de subsol, melkitii uniati sunt de o independenta feroce fata de Roma,

Melkitii sunt greco-catolici. Prin comparatie cu greco-catolicii romani, au un grad de autonomie in plus, fiind Biserica Particulara cu rang de Patriarhie. Biserica Romana Unita (greco-catolica) are rang de Arhiepiscopie Majora. Deocamdata.
