Fraților, dacă tot ne numim „CreștinOrtodox Forum”, nu vi se pare normal să avem drept simbol o cruce ortodoxă și nu ceva laic și lipsit de vreo valoare ?

Mă refer la poza asta, cea din partea de stânga sus a forumului:

Ce-i asta? Doi maimuțoi fără față în dialog, duce cu gândul la comunitate. Dar noi suntem mai mult decât o comunitate, suntem o comunitate creștin ortodoxă!

Nu s-ar potrivi mai bine ceva de genul acesta?

Adică Crucea lui Hristos sau cei doi maimuțoi fără nici o valoare ?

Nu stiu, crucea asta nu cred ca este ortodoxa. Nu stiu ce inseamna adaugirile (jos o liniuta de parca ar fi taiata crucea, sus un mot).

Mie mi-ar place o cruce sau o iconita, in jurul careia se se uneasca niste maini. Adica sa fie exprimata solidaritatea crestina, faptul ca este un loc de intalnire a unor oameni (chiar si ne-ortodocsi).
Si poate sa aibe forumul si un hram, un nume concret.

P.S Maiumutoii aia reprezinta o adunare de oameni de mai multe "culori". In cazul nostru culorile ar insemna confesiunile.

The Eastern Orthodox cross (also known as Crux Orthodoxa, the Byzantine cross, and the Eastern cross) can be considered a modified version of the Patriarchal cross, having two smaller crossbeams, one at the top and one near the bottom, in addition to the longer crossbeam. One suggestion is the lower crossbeam represents the footrest (suppendaneum) to which the feet of Jesus were nailed. In some earlier representations (and still currently in the Greek Church) the crossbar near the bottom is straight. In later Russian and other traditions, it came to be depicted as slanted, with the side to the viewer's left usually being higher.

One tradition says that this comes from the idea that as Jesus Christ took his last breath, the bar to which his feet were nailed broke, thus slanting to the side. Another tradition holds that the slanted bar represents the repentant thief and the unrepentant thief that were crucified with Christ, the one to Jesus' right hand repenting and rising to be with God, and one on his left falling to Hell and separation from God. In this manner it also reminds the viewer of the Last Judgment.

Still another explanation of the slanted crossbar would suggest the Cross Saltire, as tradition holds that the Apostle St. Andrew introduced Christianity to lands north and west of the Black Sea: today's Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, and Romania.

O fi existand si in Romania, dar eu n-am vazut-o la biserici ortodoxe.
Am vazut-o pe alocuri si n-am stiut ce semnifica.
Am crezut ca este o biserica de alta confesiune acolo.

E biserica lipoveneasca din Iasi (deci ortodoxa de rit vechi).
Nu stiu daca si la noi se foloseste aceasta cruce, pana acum parca nu am vazut-o.

Imi place ideea ta, colaps3 (desi nu sunt sigura in privinta stilului crucii pe care ai propus-o).
Dar pacat ca ai deschis subiectul pe un ton certaret ... si de aici si raspunsurile ostile.
