Și acum vom lua originalul să vedem cine are dreptate:


Romani 1:23 Textul în greacă

καὶ ἤλλαξαν τὴν δόξαν τοῦ ἀφθάρτου θεοῦ ἐν ὁμοιώματι εἰκόνος φθαρτοῦ ἀνθρώπου καὶ πετεινῶν καὶ τετραπόδων καὶ ἑρπετῶν.

Transcriere fonetică:

kai ēllaxan tēn doxan tou aphthartou Theou en homoiōmati EIKONOS phthartou anthrōpou kai peteinōn kai tetrapodōn kai herpetōn.

Traducere literală:

„Și au schimbat slava Dumnezeului nepieritor într-o asemănare a EIKONOS unui om pieritor, a păsărilor, a patrupedelor și a târâtoarelor.”


EIKONOS= Icoană,Imagine,chip, reprezentare ,idol .

Deci nu-i greșit deloc utilizarea ICOANĂ.

Mai degrabă cred că au dres traducerea BC și BO pentru a nu se confunda aceste pasaje care condamna idolatria cu cultul cinstirii icoanelor și statuilor.

Da au dres traducerea fonetică a cuvântului eikon unde apare și cei de la King James Version protestanții adică pt a apăra cultul icoanelor din BOR și BRC :

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
