Problema e la păcatele săvârşite nu accidental, ci în mod repetat. Acestea devin notorii şi atunci se impune luarea unor măsuri din partea Bisericii. Aceasta îi va retrage calitatea de membru respectivului păcătos. Biserica nu poate rămâne încărcată cu asemenea păcate. Cum privesc cei din afară o biserică ce tolerează păcate şi păcătoşi notorii în ea? Nu au dreptate musulmanii (dau şi eu un exemplu neutru) când afirmă că Biserica Creştină este o biserică decăzută, plină de vicioşi (curvari şi beţivi - ca să rămânem doar la cele două exemple amintite mai sus)?
Iată de ce este necesară respectarea poruncii apostolice "să-l daţi afară pe acel vicios!"
