Pe cine crezi că păcăleşti?Vezi şi dumneata în ediţiile de mai sus că, termenul de "bătrân" îl folosesc doar ediţiile sectăreşti neoprotestante. Ediţiile serioase folosesc termenul presbiter sau preot:

Dati-mi ceva editii serioase. Dual Rheims Bible este pe placul dvs. dar este slabuta.

Dupa cate imi dau seama, catolicii care au tradus versiunea Douay Rheims Bible sunt si mai ciudati. In traducerea pe care o folositi dvs. (probabil varianta Bartolomeau Anania) ati inlaturat orice diferenta intre termenii "prezbyteros" (batran) si "iereu" (preot) si i-ati facut pe toti preoti.

Catolocii sunt mai interesanti. Expresia "prezbuteros" o traduc uneori ca insemnand "batran" alte ori ca insemnand "preot". De exemplu, in Faptele Apostolior cap. 15, la vers 2 si 4 apare cuvantul "prezbyteros". Acelasi cuvant grecesc, pentru vers 2 este tradus ca fiind "preot"(priest), pentru ca la vers. 4 sa fie tradus ca fiind "batran"(ancient).

Totusi, in versetele pe care le-am dat ca exemplu, se face diferentierea intre termeni. Accepta si ei termenul de "batran" (ancient), pe care dvs. il refuzati si-l transformati in "preot".

Fapte 11:30 Which also they did, sending it to the ancients (batran), by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.


A se vedea, in mod special, versetul din 1 Petru 1:5. Sfantul Apostol nu putea indrazni sa se numeasca preot, deopotriva cu Hristos, ci s-a numit "prezbiter" (batran). Preot este unul singur: Domnul Iisus Hristos.
